Paris Saint-Germain coach Antoine Kombouare says he is not distracted by rumours over his future in the media.
The wealthy Ligue 1 club has had a dip in form of late after a blistering start to the campaign, and speculation suggests the 48-year-old is set to be sacked in favour of a new, big-name coach.
Despite being frustrated by the controversy, the New Caledonia-born boss is getting on with business as usual.
“It’s annoying because I’m still here while some have been announcing my departure for seven months,” he told France Football.
“But this does not distract me from my work. In football I do not have to spread my feelings, it’s a private matter.”
PSG’s highest-profile summer signing was Argentina international Javier Pastore, who, after an impressive start to his time in France, has found life a bit tougher of late.
Despite the playmaker recently criticising team-mates for not being on the same wavelength as him, Kombouare says the ex-Palermo man is happy at the club.
“I do not care about what he said in the media; it does not matter,” the coach said.
“I find him happy, he takes pleasure in playing and he expresses it on the field.”
PSG have slipped to second in the table, three points behind Montpellier, with their next match against Sochaux on Saturday.
