Genoa defender Koni De Winter wants to join AC Milan in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano. The well-known and well-respected Italian journalist has claimed that the 23-year-old, who can operate as a centre-back or as a full-back, has agreed on personal terms with the Italian giants.
Romano wrote on X: “AC Milan have made contact for Koni De Winter with both player and Genoa side.
“Genoa want €25m package, AC Milan consider opening bid around €20m plus add-ons.
“De Winter, keen on AC Milan move.”
The reporter added: “Koni De Winter has agreed on personal terms with AC Milan, yes to the project.
“Negotiations between AC Milan and Genoa are ongoing with request around €25m total package.
“Genoa are open to finding a solution as De Winter wants Milan.”
De Winter spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Genoa from Juventus before making the deal permanent in 2024.
