Reports claim Lazio are lining up a potential swap deal to send Djibril Cisse to Stuttgart in return for midfielder Zdravko Kuzmanovic.

Cisse only joined the Serie A club in the summer for 5.8 million euros from Panathinaikos, but the French forward has struggled to make an impact for Edy Reja’s men, scoring only one league goal and four in all competitions.

Corriere dello Sport reports the Rome-based outfit are rumoured to be interested in adding a midfielder to their squad and believe Kuzmanovic fits the bill, with the Serbia international’s club Stuttgart reportedly looking for a striker.

And, with both players valued at a similar figure, any potential deal between Lazio and the Bundesliga outfit is unlikely to include a fee.

But Lazio may face competition for the former Fiorentina lynchpin, with Juventus also rumoured to be looking into securing the services of the 24-year-old.

Kuzmanovic has made 43 appearances for Serbia, scoring five goals. Cisse has netted nine times in 41 appearances for France, having had stints at Liverpool, Auxerre, Marseille and Sunderland earlier in his career.
