Leicester City have appointed Rick Passmoor as their interim head coach ahead of the Women’s Super League season, as they seek a permanent successor to Amandine Miquel.

Miquel was sacked last week, having led the Foxes to a 10th-placed finish, 10 points clear of relegated Crystal Palace, in her only campaign at the helm in 2024-25.

Leicester visit Manchester United for their 2025-26 WSL opener on Sunday, with games against Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham to come before the end of September.

Ahead of that daunting run, the Foxes have confirmed Passmoor – who was most recently West Ham’s assistant coach – will lead their coaching team on an interim basis.
