Porto equalled a club record of 53 league games unbeaten after a 0-0 draw with Sporting Lisbon in Liga Sagres on Saturday.
Both sides had their chances at Estadio Jose Alvalade, but Porto took a point against the last team to beat them in the league, dating back to February 2010.
Porto moved a point clear of second-placed Benfica, while Sporting stay six points adrift of the top in third.
The visiting Porto made a strong start and Argentine centre-back Nicolas Otamendi headed a chance wide on 25 minutes.
Porto goalkeeper Helton Arruda was called into action soon after, stopping Anderson Polga’s header with a strong save.
The clash opened up in the last 20 minutes and star Porto striker Hulk found the net with a delightful chip, but he was correctly ruled offside.
Sporting substitute Marat Izmailov squandered two good chances in the closing stages, the second of which was a blocked close-range effort in the 85th minute.
Vitor Pereira’s Porto went close to finding a winner in stoppage time, but substitute James Rodriguez’s goal-bound shot was inadvertently blocked by team-mate Otamendi as they were forced to settle for a share of the spoils.
