Liverpool are interested in signing Ronald Araujo from Barcelona, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that the defending Premier League champions are ready to make a bid of €50million for the Uruguay international defender, who can operate as a centre-back or as a right-back.
The report has claimed that Liverpool are willing to make the offer for Araujo in January. The Reds were keen on a summer deal for Marc Guehi in the summer transfer window, but Crystal Palace blocked the deal late on after they could not find a replacement.
Araujo has been at Barcelona since 2018, but he had injury problems last season. The Uruguay international is back to full fitness now and is playing regularly for Barcelona, who are aiming to win the La Liga title for the second season in a row and are also looking to win the UEFA Champions League.
