Liverpool target Mateo Retegui

Liverpool are interested in signing Mateo Retegui from Atalanta in the summer transfer window, according to Anfield Watch. The report has revealed that the newly-crowned Premier League champions are also keen on a summer deal for midfielder Nicolo Rovella, who is on loan at Lazio from Juventus at the moment.

Retegui has been at Atalanta since the summer of 2024 when he joined from Genoa. The Italy international forward has scored 27 goals and given eight assists in 46 appearances so far this season. Liverpool are looking at Retegui as a potential replacement for Darwin Nunez, who is likely to leave the Reds.

Liverpool have already won the Premier League title this season. Meanwhile, Atalanta currently find themselves third in the Serie A table with 68 points from 35 games, six points behind second-placed Inter Milan and five points ahead of fourth-placed Juventus.
