Manchester United are close to signing Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford in the summer transfer window, according to The Guardian. Man United and Brentford have agreed on the initial fee, with the two Premier League clubs now discussing add-ons for the winger that would take the overall deal close to £65 million.
Mbeumo is one of the best wingers in the Premier League and was in fine form for Brentford last season. The Cameroon international found the back of the net 20 times and added eight assists in 38 league fixtures in the 2024-25 campaign. In 2023-24, Mbeumo scored nine goals and registered seven assists in 25 Premier League matches for the Bees.
Mbeumo would become the second major Man United signing in the summer transfer window should he make the move to Old Trafford. Earlier this summer, the Red Devils completed the signing of Brazil international star Matheus Cunha from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers after deciding to pay his release clause of £62.5 million.
