Manchester United are still interested in signing Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa despite having an initial offer for the Argentina international goalkeeper turned down, according to UnitedInFocus. Man Utd have already approached Villa over a loan deal for Martinez, but the Villans have turned it down.
According to UnitedInFocus, Martinez himself is keen on a move to Man Utd. The Red Devils’ number one goalkeeper at the moment is Andre Onana, but the Cameroonian has had a difficult spell at Old Trafford and manager Ruben Amorim wants to sign an upgrade.
Man Utd had a dire Premier League campaign last season, but they did reach the final of the Europa League. However, Amorim’s side lost it to Premier League rivals Manchester United. Man United will be determind to finish in the top four of the Premier League table next season.
