Manchester United do not want to sell Kobbie Mainoo in the summer transfer window, according to GiveMeSport. It has been reported that Tottenham Hotspur have made ‘informal enquiries’ about Mainoo, but Man Utd have decided that they will not offload the 20-year-old England international midfielder.
‘GMS sources have been informed that Manchester United have not been actively seeking a buyer for Mainoo, who made 37 appearances in all competitions last term, and he is desperate to prove his worth as he bids to ensure he bags a place in England’s squad for the 2026 World Cup,’ notes the report.
Tottenham’s interest in Mainoo stems from their failure to sign Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest. With Gibbs-White eventually signing a new deal with Forest, the North London club have turned their focus on getting a deal for Mainoo done, but it seems that Man Utd are not willing to offload him this summer.
