Argentine legend Diego Maradona has reassured fans he is doing “fine” after undergoing an operation to have kidney stones removed.
Maradona, who is the coach of UAE club Al Wasl, had the operation in Dubai after feeling pain in his stomach, but was discharged from hospital on Monday.
“I say to all those who love me, I’m fine, I’m doing fine as coach in Dubai,” Maradona said.
The Argentine is expected to return to the touchline for Monday’s Pro-League clash with Al Sharjah and will lead his side in training later this week.
Maradona’s Al Wasl are currently in sixth place in the UAE Pro-League, 12 points behind leaders Al Ain with 11 games to play in the season.
