Marc Guiu wants to leave Chelsea at the end of the season, according to Fichajes. The report in the Spanish news outlet has claimed that Guiu, a former Barcelona striker, is not happy with his current situation at Chelsea and has asked to leave the Premier League club in the summer transfer window.
Guiu has been at Chelsea since the summer of 2024, when he joined from Barcelona. The 20-year-old was sent out on loan to Sunderland in the summer of 2025, but an injury to Liam Delap saw the Premier League club recall the Spain Under-21 international. Guiu has since been able to make only one start in the Premier League and has played just once in the UEFA Champions League for Chelsea.
Fichajes has noted: “Marc Guiu formally requested a transfer after realising that he does not fit into Chelsea’s sporting plans.
“At 20 years old, the striker needs playing time and consistency, two key factors for his development.
“Fierce competition in the London club’s attacking line and the club’s preference for other profiles have relegated the Spaniard to a secondary role.
“With no real space to grow, his circle believes that changing clubs is the best solution.”
The player does not want to spend another season on the bench at such a crucial phase in his evolution.
