Marco Silva believes Harry Wilson is in the best form of his career after the in-form forward was Fulham’s hero in the 2-1 win over 10-man Chelsea at Craven Cottage.
The Cottagers took the lead through Raul Jimenez in the 55th minute, after Chelsea had seen Marc Cucurella dismissed for a professional foul on Wilson in the first half.
Wilson had already seen one goal ruled out shortly before half-time as Jimenez had mistimed his run in the build-up, but the 28-year-old settled the West London derby with a stupendous finish on the half-volley with nine minutes remaining.
He has now had a direct hand in 11 Premier League goals for Fulham this season (seven goals, four assists).
That represents his highest total in a single campaign, and equals his best goalscoring season in the top flight (also seven in 2019-20).
Speaking to BBC Match of the Day after the game, Fulham boss Silva said of Wilson: “Everything he does is something. What a finish for the disallowed goal.
“He’s in a top moment. He’s in the best moment of his career so far. He’s helping the team. What a season from him.”

Chelsea were once again under the leadership of interim boss Calum McFarlane as newly appointed head coach Liam Rosenior took a watching brief from the stands.
And for an elated Silva, victory was a just result as his side fought against a team trying to impress a new boss.
“We never expect to win a game if we don’t work hard,” Silva added.
“We knew we controlled the game. We had to be aware, with some transitions, we gave them a chance. We deserved the three points and did more to win the game.
“We changed with the substitution of Kevin to be much more offensive. Most of these players played three games in seven days. It’s an incredible effort from these guys and they deserve all the credit.
“We had to be patient. It was a great win for these guys [fans]. In the past, the fans weren’t used to winning against their neighbours. But they’re getting great feelings now.”
