Arsenal are interested in signing Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has revealed that Gunners manager Mikel Arteta himself has asked the North London club to get a deal done for Gittens.
It has been further claimed that Gittens is open to a return to England. The 20-year-old England Under-21 international winger was on the books of Manchester City from 2018 until 2020 before he moved to German club Dortmund.
Gittens has scored 12 goals and given five assists in 46 appearances for Dortmund so far this season. The winger has found the back of the net 17 times and provided 14 assists in 104 appearances for the German club so far in his career. Arsenal are second in the Premier League table at the moment, while Dortmund currently find themselves fifth in the Bundesliga standings with 51 points from 32 games, a point behind fourth-placed Freiburg.
