Milan, City to resume Tevez talks

Officials from AC Milan and Manchester City are reportedly meeting on Thursday to discuss Carlos Tevez’s proposed move to the San Siro.

Milan sporting director Ariedo Braida will once again attempt to persuade the English outfit to allow the Argentine forward to leave Etihad Stadium on loan with a view to a permanent transfer at the end of the season, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian sports daily also claims that City have agreed to the talks because Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in Tevez has cooled, with the French outfit now said to have turned their attention to signing Porto forward Hulk.

Tevez has not played for the Premier League leaders since refusing to come on as a substitute during September’s Champions League defeat by Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

The player was subsequently told he had no future at the club by manager Roberto Mancini but City have struggled to find a buyer for the Argentine because of Tevez’s wage demands and the size of the transfer fee they are demanding for the want-away striker.

Milan are keen to strengthen their forward line with Antonio Cassano set to miss the rest of the season after undergoing heart surgery but have repeatedly stated that they will only sign players on loan in January.
