Champions League-winning striker Diego Milito left Argentina training early on Thursday after suffering a knock to his right ankle.

The injury to the 30-year-old, who scored both goals in Inter Milan’s 2-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League final, was described as not serious by the Argentina staff.

Defender Ariel Garce, however, trained on his own as he recovers from a right calf injury.

Coach Diego Maradona gave the squad a hard work-out and ended the session with a short match in which Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez operated as a lone forward for one of the teams.

The two-time World Cup winners open their Group B campaign against Nigeria on June 12 and will also face Greece and South Korea in the group phase.
