Inter president Massimo Moratti is yet to learn if Manchester City have rejected the club’s bid for Carlos Tevez.
According to reports in England, the Premier League leaders have turned down the Nerazzurri’s offer of 25 million euros for the Argentine forward.
However, Moratti, speaking on Monday to Sky Sport24, revealed that he had not yet heard anything back from Eastlands.
“I don’t know if City have refused our offer for Tevez,” the Inter supremo insisted.
When asked if Inter would raise their offer if City have indeed rejected their bid, Moratti replied: “We would have to evaluate if it’s worth it for us to continue in the deal.
“Tevez is a great player but we have to do things sensibly.”
Meanwhile, Moratti also dismissed the possibility of selling Dutch playmaker and reported Manchester United target Wesley Sneijder during the current transfer window, declaring: “He will stay at Inter.”
Inter had seemingly been in pole position to sign Tevez following AC Milan’s decision to end their pursuit of the striker following Alexandre Pato’s rejection of a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
But speculation is rife that the Ligue 1 leaders have now switched their attention to Tevez, who has not played for City since allegedly refusing to come on as a substitute during the club’s Champions League defeat by Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena earlier this season.
