Some people just seem to have a run of bad luck. Newcastle owner Mike Ashley has had a pretty bad time recently and he must have found it hard to remain cheerful. At least he has his fortune to keep his spirits up.
That fortune is a little smaller now according to this morning’s Sunday Mirror. It says that Ashley lost £300 million after betting on the shares of bank HBOS, losing £800,000 for every penny the share price dropped.
It never rains but it pours!
