More bad news for the Toon Army.

Just when Newcastle fans thought things could not possibly get worse, they get the news that striker Obafemi Martins is likely to be out of action for up to six weeks with a knee injury he picked up in the Carling Cup defeat to Tottenham on Wednesday.

Martins, a lively and dangerous player crucial to Newcastle’s cause, had only just returned to action after missing the previous four games.

Surely things will have to start improving at Newcastle soon? Maybe they can pick up three points against Blackburn tomorrow in order to ease the doom and gloom a little.
