Cagliari midfielder Radja Nainggolan says he would prefer a move abroad once his spell in Sardinia reaches its conclusion.
The 23-year-old Belgian has been heavily linked with Juventus in recent weeks, but the former Piacenza star said he could not move to another Serie A club out of respect for his current employers.
“The rumours are rumours, but I am certainly glad to see my name in the papers,” Nainggolan told La Repubblica.
“I’m doing great in Cagliari, but when the time comes for my departure, I would prefer to go abroad and try a new experience.”
“I owe it all to Cagliari. Here I found peace, serenity and a stepping-stone to Serie A football. In addition, there is an ongoing project, which you will see (the results of) by June.”
Nainggolan commented on reported interest from CSKA Moscow, saying: “In Russia it is cold, as the president said, but it is undeniable that there are attractions.”
“But I repeat, I am fine here and I am just thinking about Cagliari.”
“I do not know much about the Russian league, but we all know that the money is there, and I am convinced that in a few years time, it will be a more competitive league than it is today.”
