Newcastle United plan to hand Alexander Isak a new contract at the end of the season, according to The Telegraph. The Premier League club are adamant that they will not sell Isak in the summer of 2025 despite interest from Arsenal and plan to reward the Sweden international striker with a new deal.

Isak has reportedly told his teammates that he is not thinking about leaving Newcastle and is focused on doing well for the St James’ Park faithful despite knowing that Arsenal are keen on a deal for him. The Gunners are looking for a new striker in the January transfer window because of the injury to Gabriel Jesus.

The 25-year-old Sweden international striker has scored 17 goals and given assists in 21 Premier League appearances for Newcastle so far this season. Isak found the back of the net 21 times and gave two assists in 27 league starts for the Magpies in the 2023-24 campaign.
