Newcastle United are determined to keep Alexander Isak amid interest from Arsenal and Chelsea, according to TuttoJuve. The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that Newcastle have decided to abandon a potential move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic to focus their attention on tying down Isak to a new deal.
The Magpies are reportedly ready to make Isak their highest-paid player in history. Newcastle will play in the Champions League next season after finishing in the top five of the Premier League table in the 2024-25 season. Eddie Howe’s side believe that their efforts will convince Isak to continue his career at St. James’ Park.
Isak is one of the best strikers in the world and has been in fine form for Newcastle over the years. The Sweden international scored 23 goals and registered six assists in 34 Premier League matches last season and also scored in the Carabao Cup final win against Liverpool.
