Newcastle United plan to award Bruno Guimaraes with a new contract, according to Football Insider.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke said on the Insider Track podcast: “Yeah, I think it would be ideal for Newcastle if they could tie down Bruno to a new deal.
“It does seem that Bruno is happy and committed to Newcastle.
“Obviously, he’s such a popular figure with the Newcastle fans as well that they would love to see Bruno extend his stay at the club.
“I think there’ll be a willingness probably from all parties to sit down and discuss a new deal.
“I’m sure at some point in the near future, will be talks held with Bruno and his people to see if they can agree a new deal.
“There’s no massive rush just yet, though, he’s under contract until 2028.”
Newcastle are 15th in the Premier League table at the moment with nine points from eight matches, four points above the relegation zone.
