Anele Ngcongca’s agent has dismissed reports that the South Africa defender will join Ukrainians Dnipro from Belgian champions Racing Genk.
The 24-year-old still has more than two years left on his contract but has been rumoured to be interesting the side from Dnipropetrovsk – Ukraine’s third largest city.
Ghanaians Samuel Inkoom and Derek Boateng already play for a team that is bankrolled by one of the country’s richest companies but Ngcongca’s agent Paschalis Tountouris says no talks have taken place.
“There’s nothing official yet, it’s pure speculation,” he told KickOff.com.
“We haven’t been involved in any discussions with Genk about Anele so we will have to wait and see.”
Ngcongca has previously been linked with a move to Turkey and made no secret of his desire to leave Genk in an interview in July.
A posting on his Twitter feed on Tuesday hinted that he may be considering his future.
“I have other thoughts in my mind…let’s see the outcome only lord knows,” he wrote.
Genk are sixth in the Jupiler League standings ahead of the resumption of fixtures this weekend.
