October 26th: Sunday’s Italian Double – 4/1 Special, Betting Tips & Predictions

With it looking like this season’s Serie A title scrap could be going right down to the wire, a host of Italian heavyweight will steal centre stage on Sunday.

As Lazio welcome Juventus to the Stadio Olimpico for what is a mouth-watering domestic showdown, we have a string of intriguing battles for across Italy’s top-tiers.

So, for those of you looking to stick on a Sunday flutter, we have taken a glance at some of the most eye-catching Italian betting markets that are available this weekend.

11:30 Torino vs Genoa

Eventually falling short last season as they missed out on the chance to book a top-half finish among Italy’s elite, Torino are desperate to go one-step further this time around. Last seen putting in what was a sensational performance as they clinched a 1-0 victory at home against reigning Serie A champions Napoli, Marco Baroni’s men will be dreaming of a repeat performance here. With their sights firmly set on finding a route into the top-10, the Bulls should be smelling a golden opportunity when they return to Turin on Sunday lunchtime. Heading into October’s International break with a 3-3 stalemate away at Italian giants Lazio, the former Verona boss has seen his squad suffer just a single defeat from any of their previous four domestic appearances across all competitions. Extending on their Coppa Italia adventure on September 25th as they secured a 1-0 win against Pisa, it should also be highlighted that Torino have notched consecutive victories in front of their own supporters for the first time since March.

Enduring what has been a public crisis since opening up the new campaign, it is no secret that Genoa are widely regarded as a standout relegation contender this time around. Forced to settle for a 0-0 stalemate at home against Parma when returning from October’s international break last weekend, Patrick Vieira has some mounting pressure on his shoulders in Liguria. Heading into the fortnight interval with a 2-1 defeat away at Napoli, Sunday’s guests have put just three points on the board so far this season and they find themselves sat rock-bottom of the Serie A standings. Signing off September with a routine 3-0 drumming at the hands of Lazio, the former Crystal Palace boss has a major job on his hands this year. Showing some real attacking issues, Genoa look set for what will be a stern examination here. Notching just a single Serie A strike over the past month, we are backing a home win in Turin this weekend.

16:15 Bari vs Mantova

While some in Bari’s camp might have opened up the new campaign with their sights set on mounting a genuine promotion charge, Fabio Caserta’s side have shown some major inconsistencies. Last seen making an immediate return to losing ways as they fell to a 3-1 loss away at Reggiana, the Cockerels open Sunday’s showdown sat in the drop zone. Despite heading into October’s fortnight interval with a much-welcomed 2-1 victory against Padova, that is the only win that Bari have mustered from any of their first eight Serie B appearances so far this season. Likewise, watching their Coppa Italia adventure come to a routine end of August 17th as they suffered a 2-0 loss against AC Milan, the former Catanzaro boss is also dealing with a major defensive headache. Signing off September with a dramatic 2-2 stalemate away at Entella, Caserta’s downbeat squad are still waiting to collect a maiden domestic clean sheet since opening up the 2025/26 campaign.

Missing out on what they had billed as a potential opportunity last weekend as they marked their respective returning from October’s international break with a 1-1 draw at home against Sudtirol, Mantova find themselves in an almost identical position to Sunday’s opponents. Signing off September with a 2-1 loss away at Juve Stabia, Davide Possanzini’s side have collected just a pair of points from their previous six Serie B appearances. Despite securing a crucial 2-1 win against Pescara on August 30th, it appears that was nothing more than a minor boost for the Lombardy-based outfit. Coming under a huge amount of scrutiny last month as they slumped to a woeful 5-1 drumming at the hands of Frosinone, Mantova have also shown their own glaring defensive struggles. Including a 3-1 loss against Modena on September 20th, it should be noted that Sunday’s guests have shipped 12 goals on their six-match winless rut.
