Arsenal star Oleksandr Zinchenko is becoming a problem for the North London club, according to TBR. Zinchenko is surplus to requirements at the Premier League club, but no teams are willing to match the high wages of the former Manchester City star.
Journalist Graeme Bailey told TBR: “The only reason Zinchenko is really still at the club is because of his high wages.
“Yeah, we did see that Ajax had made inquiries about him. But – not literally – I think it made their eyes and noses bleed when they heard what he was earning!
“That’s probably the reaction of most clubs around Europe these days. Premier League salaries are just on another level now.
“And it’s not just Arsenal – we’re seeing this across the board. That’s why so many players are getting stuck, unable to move.
“Clubs outside England simply can’t match those wages.”
