Pedro in doubt for Barca

Barcelona attacker Pedro sustained a thigh injury in Thursday’s 2-1 Copa del Rey win over Osasuna and could be out of action for several weeks.

The versatile forward featured from the start in the second leg of the last 16 cup match at the Reyno de Navarra, but was forced to leave the pitch after 68 minutes.

It is not yet known exactly how long the Spain international will be sidelined for, but it seems unlikely that Pedro will be match fit for the upcoming league match against Real Betis this Sunday.

The 24-year-old is also doubtful for next week’s Copa del Rey quarter-final against Real Madrid.

Pedro is expected to undergo further examination later on Friday to determine the extent of the injury.
