The English FA have warned Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp, after comments he made about referee Chris Foy after their 2-1 loss to Stoke City.
Foy came under fire after Spurs had a number of penalty appeals turned down at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday, while Emmanuel Adebayor’s second-half goal was wrongly ruled out for offside.
In his post-match comments, Redknapp suggested that the official ‘was quite enjoying not giving us anything’, and the FA have since moved to remind the 64-year-old over the nature of future comments regarding referees.
An FA spokesman said: “We have written to Harry Redknapp following his post-match comments on Sunday warning him as to his future conduct.”
