Tottenham Hotspur target Loic Remy claims he will stay with Marseille until at least the end of the Ligue 1 season.

Reports on Sunday indicated Spurs coach Harry Redknapp had flown to France to watch Remy in action against Lille, and the English Premier League side are rumoured to be readying a 15-million-euro bid for the striker.

However, the scouting mission now appears to have been in vain, with Remy declaring he has no intention of leaving after scoring both goals in his team’s 2-0 victory over the champions at the Stade Velodrome.

“I’m staying,” Remy told Canal+.

“I will 100 percent stay at Marseille until the end of the season and even the end of my contract.”

“I have spoken with the president and the staff. And it would not be right for me to leave this club.”

“We’ll see next summer but that’s not even in my head for now.”

Remy, who has been capped 17 times by France, has scored 21 goals in 44 games for Marseille since arriving from Nice in 2010.

The 25-year-old is under contract until the end of 2014/15 season.
