Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marco Reus said he has not yet received an offer from Bayern Munich.

The Germany international has been in superb form in the 2011-12 campaign and Bayern are believed to be closely monitoring Reus’ progress.

Nevertheless, a transfer still seems to be far away.

“I have not received an offer from Bayern Munich. The people writing this kind of stuff clearly know more than I do,” Reus told Express.

“I don’t know whether these kinds of reports from Munich can put extra pressure on a club or player. I don’t know the reason behind it.”

“I have a contract until 2015, so it’s a realistic option that I’ll stay with Gladbach after this season.”

Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently said that it might be better for the 22-year-old to stay at where he is for at least one more season.
