According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Italian side Roma have contacted Maurizio Sarri over the possibility of him managing them next season. Sarri is under a lot of pressure at Stamford Bridge right now after a series of poor results, including a 6-0 humiliation at the hands of Manchester City – who they’ll be playing once again this weekend. If he can manage to lift the League Cup trophy high at Wembley then perhaps the pressure will subside, but either way, there are a lot of rumours linking him with a move back to Italy.
Roma want to replace Eusebio Di Francesco as quickly as possible, especially after their 7-1 defeat at the hands of Fiorentina. Both clubs clearly feel like they should be pushing on towards even bigger and better things, but right now, they’re stuck in a rut.
Sarri joined Chelsea back in the summer after months of speculation.
