Carlos Tevez’s comments about a dream return to Boca Juniors do not reflect his current state of mind, his agent Adrian Rouco said.
A number of Argentine sources had quoted the Manchester City striker on Wednesday as saying he had grown tired of all the travelling that comes with European football, and that he wished to play in the Copa Libertadores with Boca.
“Those are some old quotes, when Milan had not even appeared on the scene,” Adrian Rouco told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“‘Carlitos’ has not talked to anyone, and he is waiting for City to make a decision.”
Tevez is AC Milan’s priority to bolster the club’s attack as the Serie A champions are on the lookout for a replacement for Antonio Cassano, who is recovering from heart surgery.
Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked to Tevez, although sporting director Leonardo said the ambitious French side have not yet lodged any offer for the 40-million-euro-rated striker.
Tevez is contracted to Manchester City until 2014.
