Harry Toffolo has joined the contingent of former Premier League players at Charlotte FC following his departure from Nottingham Forest.
Toffolo, who made 57 appearances across all competitions for Forest after joining from Huddersfield Town in 2022, has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract.
The 29-year-old makes the move to the MLS after being released by Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, and will link up with the Crown for the second half of the season.
Charlotte find themselves seventh in the Eastern Conference after 25 games of their campaign, five points clear of the New York Red Bulls, who are outside the playoff places.
“Harry is a very experienced defender that fits the profile we were looking for as a long-term solution at the left-back position,” said general manager Zoran Krneta.
“His wealth of experience in the Premier League, the world’s most competitive league, and leadership will help bolster our defence for the end of this season and beyond.”
