Tottenham Hotspur eye Yoane Wissa

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Yoane Wissa from London and Premier League rivals Brentford in the summer transfer window, according to The Guardian. The North London club have held ‘internal discussions about a move for Wissa’.

Spurs, though, are not the only club that are interested in a summer deal for Wissa. Nottingham Forest wanted to sign the 28-year-old attacker in the January transfer window and remain interested in the DR Congo international, who played mainly as a centre-forward last season and scored 19 goals and registered five assists in 35 Premier League appearances.

The Guardian has added that Brentford are unlikely to sell Wissa for anything less than £40 million. The 28-year-old is out of contract at the Bees until next year, but the London club have an option to extend it by a further 12 months. Tottenham are also said to be holding talks over signing Bryan Mbeumo, although Manchester United are keen on the Brentford winger as well.
