Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing former Manchester United midfielder Angel Gomes in the summer transfer window, according to TBR. Gomes is out of contract at Lille at the end of the season, and it has been reported that Spurs are keen on securing his services on a free transfer.
The Premier League club have been in contact with Gomes for some time and have made him an offer, as Tottenham step up their efforts to sign the England international. Although the North London club are pushing hard to convince the 24-year-old to make the switch to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, United are still in the running.
Gomes has been on the books of Lille since 2020 when he joined after leaving United. The England international has established himself as one of the better midfielders in Ligue 1 and is one of the first names on the Lille teamsheet when he is fit and available. The midfielder has scored 10 goals and given 19 assists in 133 matches in all competitions for Lille so far in his career.
