Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window, according to Football Insider. Spurs tried to sign Gallagher from Chelsea in the summer of 2024 before the midfielder switched to the La Liga club, and the North London club remain keen.
Spurs tried to sign Morgan Gibbs-White this summer, but the midfielder decided to stay at Nottingham Forest and sign a new contract. Tottenham are now focusing on Gallagher and view him as a suitable alternative to Gibbs-White.
Atletico manager Diego Simeone is reluctant to let Gallagher leave this summer. The Spanish club could reportedly ask at least £40 million from Tottenham for the English midfielder. It is also unclear if the former Chelsea star would be open to leaving Atletico for Tottenham before the summer transfer window closes.
