Tottenham Hotspur target Ruben Vargas

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Ruben Vargas from Sevilla, according to Fichajes. The report in the Spanish news outlet has claimed that Aston Villa also have Vargas on their radar.

Vargas joined Sevilla from FC Augsburg in January 2025. The 27-year-old can play as a winger or as an attacking midfielder. Vargas has also played 54 times for the Switzerland national football team, scoring nine goals in the process.

During his time at Sevilla so far, Vargas has scored two goals and given four assists in 14 matches in all competitions. Sevilla finished as low as 17th in the La Liga table last season and have picked up four points from four league games so far this campaign.
