Two late goals saw South Korea secure a comfortable 2-0 victory against Ecuador Sunday in a World Cup warm-up tie.
The home team took the lead in the 73rd minute when Lee Seung-Ryol of FC Seoul scored from the edge of the penalty area in front of a capacity crowd at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.
Lee Chung-Yong of Bolton Wanderers added a goal 10 minutes later.
Ecuador?s best hope came after 65 minutes but an attempt by substitute Edison Preciado was blocked.
Sunday’s game was the first of four exhibition matches scheduled for the South Koreans before they head to South Africa, where they are in Group B of next month’s tournament, along with Argentina, Greece and Nigeria.
The match against Ecuador was intended as a test of their ability to take on Argentina in the group-stage competition.
South Korea’s next fixture is away to Japan on May 24.
