Chelsea youngster Patrick van Aanholt has joined Vitesse on loan for the rest of the season.
The defender returns to his homeland in search of regular first-team football after a spell with Premier League strugglers Wigan was cut short by mutual consent.
Van Aanholt joins Tomas Kalas and Ulises Davila as the third Chelsea prospect to join the Eredivisie outfit, and will make his debut in a friendly against Alcides on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old arrived at Stamford Bridge from PSV in 2007, but has made just eight senior appearances for the west Londoners.
The youngster has previously had loan spells at Coventry City, Newcastle United and Leicester City.
