Zambia’s Kennedy Mweene is adamant his team are going to progress deep into the Africa Cup of Nations.
Mweene’s team have been in camp for two weeks in preparation for the 2012 tournament in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
“So far, so good. Everyone is responding well to the training and we are all in a positive mood,” Mweene said.
Zambia’s first game in the 2012 showpiece is against Senegal on the opening day of the tournament and Mweene admits it will not be easy.
“Our goal is to do well and we want to exceed what we did in 2010. We want to go on to the quarter-finals, into the semi-finals and then make it all the way to the final,” he said.
“We have undergone good preparation, we will see where we are lacking and be ready for the tournament.”
