Real to bid for Alvaro Negredo

El Confidencial has learned that Real Madrid are weighing up a late bid for Manchester City striker Alvaro Negredo.

Los Blancos plan to sign a new striker and a replacement for Xabi Alonso before the Sunday’s transfer deadline with club officials working around the clock.

According to El Confidencial, los Blancos are hot on the trail of Manchester City forward Alvaro Negredo.

The Spain international is currently sidelined through injury, but he is looking to leave Etihad after failing behind Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko and Stevan Jovetic in the pecking order.

It is believed that the Citizens would consider his sale and Real Madrid reportedly plan to start the bidding at €20 million.

Alvaro Negredo, 29, only joined Manchester City from Sevilla last summer, but he hasn’t quite managed to impress in his first season at the club, scoring mere 9 goals in 32 Premier League appearances, albeit bagging 14 goals in other competitions.

Negredo is valued at least 30 million pound as per market rate..City management is not stupid to sell him very cheap..not this time. .may be next summer..City need him..Aguero gas injury issues..Dzeko is not consistent. .Juvetic doing fine..how long ? Who knows..City shouldn’t sell Negredo if price is not right..

First of all, it was Spanish newspaper El Confidencial that was quoted as a source, and chances are they are better informed than you are. Secondly, nobody said Manchester City would accept €20m, but rather that Real plan to start the bidding at that amount. Constructive criticism is more than welcome, but there is not a hint of it in your comments.
