AC Milan have stepped up their efforts to sign Christopher Nkunku from Chelsea in the final days of the transfer window, and according to Fabrizio Romano, they’ve already reached an agreement with the French forward on personal terms. The talks between the clubs are ongoing in the hope of a total agreement being reached on time.
Milan were very close to completing the signing of Victor Boniface from Bayer Leverkusen on loan with an option to buy. However, that move fell through with the Rossoneri worried about the way past injuries may affect the Nigerian’s future career. They previously tried to sign Darwin Nunez but were unable to reach an agreement with Liverpool, and the Uruguayan striker went to Saudi Arabia instead. Rasmus Hojlund has also been mentioned, but the Manchester United man appears to be on his way to Napoli.
Meanwhile, Nkunku appears unhappy with his role under Enzo Maresca at Chelsea. In 2024/25, he started just nine Premier League matches and made further 18 appearances of the bench.
