Aimar to join Toon Army?

Newcastle United have now been linked with a move for Argentine midfield ace, Pablo Aimar. The player’s present club, Real Zaragoza were relegated from La Liga last season and it seems a move away is now pending for the 28 year old playmaker.

The Sun newspaper reports that Aimar’s representative Gustavo Muscardi has confirmed the ex-Valencia and River Plate midfielder would entertain a move to England. Muscardi was quoted as saying, “Newcastle have asked about Aimar’s situation — that is certain.”

He also goes on to say, “…the Premier League would be perfect for him and I want to speak with Newcastle to take things forward.”
