According to Mundo Deportivo, Casemiro has emerged as a priority target for Al-Nassr, when his contract at Manchester United expires next summer.
The Brazilian midfielder joined United from Real Madrid in 2022 for a fee exceeding €70million, on the back of a hugely successful seven-year spell in the Spanish capital, as a five-time Champions League winner. However, even with such a pedigree, the 33-year-old hasn’t been able to do much to help the 20-time English champions, whose decline over the last decade has been evident. His individual quality did occasionally break through, but his team suffered a heartbreaking Europa League final defeat to Tottenham Hotspur and finished 15th in the Premier League table at the end of 2024/25.
Quite apart from the, surely lucrative, financial side of things, the Saudi Pro League may appeal to Casemiro as a way of reducing the pressure with his playing career irresistibly moving towards its final stretch.
