Amauri hints at Premier League move; Roma make Juan and Cicinho available for sale

Amauri hints at Premier League move

Juventus striker Amauri could be heading to England in January, according to his representative.

The former Italy international hasn’t played a single game for the Bianconeri this season and he is set to leave the club in January.

English clubs Tottenham and Fulham have already shown interest in the 31-year-old and his agent admits that Amauri could be playing in England very soon.

“There is a 70% chance that Amauri will play in England,” Amauri’s agent Ernesto Bronzetti told Italia 1.

“But there is also a possibility that he could join an Italian team.”

The forward rejected offers from Marseille and Fenerbahce last summer, while several Italian clubs have shown interest as well.

“Palermo, Parma and Napoli did show an interest in acquiring the player but they could not afford his wages,” Bronzetti added.

Roma make Juan and Cicinho available for sale

Serie A giants Roma are prepared to sell Brazilian duo Juan and Cicinho, Il Corriere dello Sport has revealed.

The Giallorossi are reportedly looking to cash in on the two players when the transfer window opens in January.

Cicinho has less than a year on his deal at Olimpico and Roma are hoping to sell the player in January so as to avoid losing him on free next summer.

The 31-year-old’s career at Olimpico has been riddled with injuries and it is believed that he would be interested in a new challenge.

His compatriot Juan is also expected to be on the transfer list, in spite of Roma’s defensive crisis.

Key defender Nicolas Burdisso has been ruled out for the season with a knee ligament injury.

However, that is unlikely to keep Juan at the club for much longer, seeing that the veteran defender has featured in just two Serie A games this season.

Bordeaux closing in on Mevlut Erding

Bordeaux are on the verge of agreeing a deal to sign PSG striker Mevlut Erding, according to France Football.

Les Girondins coach Francois Gillot had already expressed his interest in the striker in the summer, but PSG chiefs were not ready to do any business.

However, according to France Football, Bordeaux have rekindled their interest in the Turkey international.

Francois Gillot, who already worked with Erding at Sochaux, wants to sign the player on loan in January, and that looks like a realistic option.

The 24-year-old has lost his starting place at Parc des Princes, having failed to start any of PSG’s 14 league games this term.

He is, therefore, looking to leave the club in search of first team football and he is thought to be tempted by interest from Bordeaux.

The Saints are not yet ready to let Erding leave the club on permanent transfer, but they are willing to farm him out on loan in January.
