Competition: Europa League
Market: Anderlecht and Tottenham to draw
Odds: 12/5 @ Betfair

Tottenham travel to face Anderlecht in their Europa League clash this week, and could well come away with all three points given how impressive they have been this season. Spurs are top of Group J ahead of Thursday’s clash against the Belgians, and have been in much better form to put themselves in pole position to win on the road.

Anderlecht have been the whipping boys in the group in 2015/16, picking up only one point from a possible six. In their domestic league, they have been hard to beat, but have also found wins hard to come by overall. They haven’t been too full of goals in their own backyard either, but they can turn on a solid defensive performance.

Suffering defeat in their latest European bout to the lesser fancied FK Qarabag, Tottenham certainly have a great opportunity to come away with all three points, and their own recent form suggest they’re right to be favourites.

Spurs have picked up four points from their two games in their Europa League group this season, and have been impressive in the Premier League too. The Londoners are unbeaten in their last eight domestic outings, and have won three of their previous five in the English top-flight.

Tottenham have perhaps been picking up too many draws in the league this season, and uncertainty over Harry Kane’s fitness could mean the visitors don’t go all out for the victory against Anderlecht. Given Tottenham will host the Belgians at White Hart Lane in early November, a draw wouldn’t be the worst result providing they win the return fixture.
