Bale welcomes Barcelona interest

Tottenham full-back Gareth Bale admits he is flattered by reported interest from Barcelona.

The Catalans are keen on the Welsh star and are thought to be preparing an assault on the player.

Few more European giants are also interested, and Bale admits he is proud to be courted by such a big club.

“It’s always nice being linked with clubs such as Barcelona – it’s great to be linked with a team like that,” Bale was quoted as saying in Daily Post.

“I’m enjoying my football at Spurs and I don’t really take much notice of what is written about interest from other clubs.”
