Catalan daily Sport has revealed that Barcelona are weighing up move for Marseille defender Nicolas N’Koulou.
The Camp Nou outfit have faced a severe defensive crisis at the start of the season and it appears that Tito Vilanova could add another centre-back in the winter transfer window.
According to Sport, Marseille stopper Nicolas N’Koulou is high on the Catalans’ wish list.
The Cameroon international has long been considered one of the most talented defenders in French Ligue 1, and he has recently started attracting interest of top European clubs.
AC Milan and Real Madrid are believed to be keen on the 22-year-old, meaning Barcelona could face a stiff competition for the player’s signature.
N’Koulou joined Marseille from Monaco in July 2011 and immediately developed into an important member of the squad at Velodrome.
He has since made 39 Ligue 1 appearances for OM and played another 17 matches in European competitions.
