Al Sadd star Nadir Belhadj is eagerly anticipating the Club World Cup semi-final against Barcelona on Thursday.

The Qatar side beat Esperance 2-1 in the quarter-finals to book their ticket to the final four, and Belhadj has insisted that they will be ready for the match against ‘the best in the world’.

“We should treat this match as a celebration,” Belhadj told the FIFA website.

“We’ll be well-prepared to put in a good performance, but the main aim will be to enjoy ourselves. We’ll need to pull together.”

“This Barca side is the best in the world, as we saw once again with their impressive display in the Clasico against Real Madrid.”

“We mustn’t focus on one player alone, because the danger can come from anywhere.”

“We’re talking about Barcelona here, so we have to stay focussed.”

“Lionel Messi and Barca are on another planet.”

“We’ll play with the resources we have, and with a group of players that has already helped us to achieve big things.”

“The chance to face Barcelona is extremely satisfying in itself.”
