Bellerin in line for new Gunners deal

Arsenal are ready to tie full-back Hector Bellerin down to a long-term contract, according to the Metro.

The 20 year old defender had made just one appearance for the Arsene Wenger’s side before this season, but following an injury to summer signing Mathieu Debuchy has played twenty-two times in all competitions this year, scoring goals in the wins against Liverpool and Aston Villa.

The one-time Spain U21 international’s form has alerted a number of clubs, with La Liga giants Barcelona linked recently though the Gunners are hopeful that a new deal will deter potential suitors.

The North London side played out a goalless draw with Chelsea on Sunday afternoon, so remain ten points behind the league leaders with just five games left to play.

Their next game is against relegation threatened Hull City at the KC Stadium next Monday evening, where the away win can be backed at a price of 4/7.
